Dhiraagu has announced two community initiatives for the upcoming Ramadan, pledging to contribute 1,000 Iftar meal packs in partnership with the Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives while also supporting 100 vulnerable families across the country through care baskets of essential food items in collaboration with Moms Aid.
The telecommunications provider said the programmes are aimed at extending assistance to migrant workers and families facing financial hardship, reinforcing Dhiraagu’s ongoing commitment to community support during the holy month.

According to Dhiraagu, the Iftar meal initiative is being carried out alongside the Mission for Migrant Workers Maldives, with volunteers working together to distribute the meal packs to beneficiaries. The company expressed appreciation to volunteers who joined the organisation’s team to begin the distribution process, noting that their contribution played a key role in launching the initiative.
In addition to the meal programme, Dhiraagu has partnered with Moms Aid to provide care baskets filled with essential food items to 100 families in need across the Maldives. The initiative is designed to help ease household expenses during Ramadan, a period when living costs often increase.
Dhiraagu has also encouraged the public to support the initiatives through its digital platform, DhiraaguPay, under the campaigns #DonateAMeal and #DonateToAFamily. The company stated that public participation would help expand the reach of the programmes and enable more individuals and families to receive assistance.
The announcement forms part of Dhiraagu’s broader Ramadan corporate social responsibility efforts, which traditionally focus on community welfare, charitable giving and supporting vulnerable groups during the holy month.
