Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced a three-year
partnership with the Football Association of Maldives (FAM), reaffirming its
support for the development of football in the country.
The partnership agreement was signed at a ceremony held
today by BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef and FAM President Ahmed
Thoriq.
Under the agreement, BML will serve as the exclusive sponsor
of the Maldives national Senior Men’s, Senior Women’s, and Youth football
teams.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Mohamed Shareef said the
bank was proud to continue its longstanding partnership with FAM and to support
the country’s national teams. He noted that BML remains committed to the
development of sports in the Maldives and believes that investing in national
teams plays a key role in strengthening football and inspiring future
generations of players.
FAM President Ahmed Thoriq welcomed the renewed partnership,
stating that BML’s decision to continue its support reflects confidence in the
association and its ongoing efforts to revive Maldivian football. He added that
the partnership would not only benefit the national teams but also contribute
to the broader growth and development of football across the Maldives.
BML has maintained a long history of collaboration with the
Football Association of Maldives, providing sponsorship support to national
teams over the years.
