Stelco Opens Merit-Based Engineering Scholarship for UK Studies

Stelco has announced the launch of its Merit-Based Engineering Scholarship, offering three scholarships for students pursuing bachelor's degrees in the United Kingdom. The company is offering one seat in Electrical and Electronic Engineering and two seats in Mechanical Engineering for eligible candidates.

The scholarship is open to students under the age of 24 who meet the academic criteria. Applicants must have achieved at least two A* grades and one A at A-level, including Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry, and Computer Science. Equivalent International Baccalaureate (IB) certificates are also accepted.

The deadline for applications is set for April 30, 2025. Students selected for the scholarship will be awarded full course fees, stipends, visa fees, return tickets, book allowances, and establishment allowances to support their studies in the UK.

In addition to covering tuition and living expenses, the scholarship program requires that recipients serve Stelco upon completion of their degree. Prior to starting their studies, successful applicants will also be required to complete an internship with the company.

This initiative aims to nurture the next generation of engineers and enhance the skills needed for the country’s infrastructure development.
