Bank of Maldives (BML) has recognised the achievements of its employees at the BML Staff Awards held last evening, celebrating excellence across the organisation.
The Bank’s highest honour, the Employee of the Year Award, was presented to Misbah Abdul Rasheed, Head of Business Systems (Technology Division), in recognition of his exceptional performance and contribution in 2025.
The Leadership Excellence Award was awarded to Yuzna Naseem, Head of Property (Properties and Administration Division), for her strong leadership and impactful contributions.

Awards were also presented to individual employees and teams across key categories, including Outstanding Team Achievement, Project Excellence and Innovation Catalyst.
The CEO’s Award for Outstanding Achievement was conferred on five employees in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the Bank’s performance and long-term strategic success. The recipients were Moosa Munsif Ahmed, Head of Strategy and Change; Husham Saeed, Director of Technology; Rashfa Jaufar, Chief Credit Officer; Hassan Shaam, Chief Properties and Administration Officer; and Adly Ahmed Didi, Chief Information Officer.
Speaking at the event, CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said 2025 marked a defining chapter in the Bank’s 43-year journey, describing it as its most successful year to date.

“Beyond strong financial performance, it reflects our expanding role in driving economic progress across the Maldives. This success is built on the dedication, professionalism, and ambition of our people. Tonight, we celebrate those who have gone above and beyond — individuals and teams whose contributions have shaped this milestone year and continue to inspire our path forward,” he said.

As the largest banking network in the country and one of its leading employers, Bank of Maldives continues to play a key role in supporting national development. The Bank noted its ongoing commitment to investing in local talent, with over 99 percent of its workforce being Maldivian.
