This year’s global theme, “Digital Lifelines: Strengthening Resilience in a Connected World,” highlights the vital role of connectivity in enabling individuals, businesses, and communities to access opportunities, essential services, and meaningful connections.
As the Maldives’ trusted digital partner, Ooredoo said it continues to invest in strengthening nationwide connectivity and digital infrastructure, ensuring communities across the country remain connected regardless of distance. Through mobile and broadband services, digital financial solutions, and emerging technologies, the company aims to build a more connected and resilient Digital Maldives.
Commenting on the occasion, the CEO and Managing Director of Ooredoo Maldives said World Telecommunication and Information Society Day serves as a reminder that technology creates the greatest impact when it connects people not only to networks, but also to opportunities, knowledge, and each other.
