International speaker, author and business strategist Kiruba Shankar has been announced as the keynote speaker for the Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) Guesthouse Symposium 2026, scheduled for 15 October at BarcelĂł Nasandhura.
The symposium will bring together hospitality professionals, industry leaders and investors to network, share insights and explore innovations in the sector. It will also highlight emerging trends and financing solutions to support the growth of guesthouse businesses.
Shankar has delivered more than 700 talks across 24 countries. His speaking approach combines practical insights, real-world experiences and humour, encouraging audiences to translate ideas into action.
Shankar is the CEO of Business Blogging and founding director of F5ive Technologies. With more than two decades of experience in the digital sector, he has helped businesses develop digital strategies and worked with organisations including the British Council, Mahindra Group, Sterling Holidays, Larsen & Toubro and The Hindu Newspaper Group.
His professional background also spans publishing, journalism and education. He has authored several books, contributed technology columns to Business Standard, Financial Express and The New Indian Express, and taught digital marketing at leading business schools.
