Hussain Fahmy has been appointed as the Managing Director of Male’ Water and Sewerage Company (MWSC), succeeding Abdul Matheen Mohamed, who has resigned from the position.
In a statement, MWSC welcomed Fahmy to the role, expressing confidence in his leadership as the company continues its operational and strategic development.
“We look forward to working under your leadership as we continue striving towards greater achievements,” the company said.
The company also paid tribute to the outgoing Managing Director, acknowledging his contributions during his tenure.
“Your strategic direction has been instrumental in our progress, and we are grateful for your mentorship. Best wishes for your future endeavors,” the statement read.
Fahmy brings significant experience in the public sector. He most recently served as Principal Secretary to the President on Policy and Manifesto at the President’s Office. Prior to that, he held the position of Managing Director at State Electric Company Limited (STELCO), where he built a long-serving career.
