Maldives Tourism Opens 2026 Strong as Arrivals Top 303,000, Led by China and Russia

The Maldives welcomed 303,488 tourists as of 9 February 2026, recording a 5.1 percent increase compared to the same period last year, with China and Russia emerging as the top source markets. Resort tourism continued to dominate arrivals, while strong January and early February figures point to another robust year for the country’s tourism sector.
