Maldivian, the national airline of the Maldives, has
announced the launch of a new seaplane service to Baa Atoll’s Fulhadhoo,
enhancing connectivity to the region. The service, set to commence on March 31,
will provide a faster and more convenient travel option, significantly reducing
journey times while offering passengers breathtaking aerial views of the
Maldivian atolls.
The new route is expected to benefit not only Fulhadhoo
but also the nearby islands of Fehendhoo and Goidhoo, improving access for both
residents and tourists. By cutting travel time to just 25 minutes, the seaplane
service presents a viable alternative to traditional speedboat transfers, which
can take hours depending on weather conditions.
Strategically launched ahead of the upcoming Eid holidays,
the service aims to accommodate the expected surge in travel demand, ensuring
seamless transportation for holidaymakers looking to visit the scenic islands
of Baa Atoll. Maldivian has announced that ticket bookings will open on March
13, allowing travelers to plan their journeys in advance.
