Saudi Arabia has introduced a new one-year multiple-entry Umrah visa, allowing eligible pilgrims to enter the Kingdom multiple times within a 12-month period while staying for a cumulative total of up to 90 days.
According to the Saudi's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, the visa is valid for 365 days from the date of issuance and enables pilgrims to make several visits during its validity. The total stay of 90 days is calculated cumulatively, based on the number of days spent in the Kingdom across all visits.
The ministry said the new visa is intended to provide greater flexibility for pilgrims undertaking Umrah throughout the year. However, it stressed that the multiple-entry Umrah visa cannot be used to enter Saudi Arabia during the Hajj season.
Authorities also clarified that the duration of an approved Umrah service package must not exceed the number of days remaining under the visa.
To obtain the visa, pilgrims are required to purchase a service package for each visit through one of the accredited service providers listed on the Nusuk platform.
In addition, pilgrims must secure an Umrah permit through the Nusuk app before every visit. The permit dates must match the approved service package, and travellers must fulfil all applicable travel and entry requirements before entering the Kingdom.
The ministry said the visa will be automatically suspended each time a pilgrim leaves Saudi Arabia and reactivated for subsequent visits once all regulatory requirements have been met.
Any unused portion of the permitted 90-day stay will automatically be carried forward and may be used during future visits, provided they are made within the visa's one-year validity period.
