President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has launched the digital banking platforms of Maldives Premier Bank (MPB) at the bank’s inaugural corporate gala held at Barceló Nasandhura.
During the event, the President launched MPB’s mobile banking application, MPB Plus, along with the bank’s internet banking services.
MPB is a Tier 1, 100 percent Maldivian-owned bank that aims to provide modern and reliable financial services to individuals, small and medium-sized enterprises and large corporations.
The bank said its services are designed to meet the needs of the Maldivian financial market while creating opportunities for customers both locally and internationally.
Its digital banking services place emphasis on customer accessibility and convenience while operating within a strong governance framework, according to the bank.
MPB also aims to strengthen international partnerships and contribute to the growth and development of the Maldivian economy.
The launch ceremony was attended by Cabinet ministers, Maldives Monetary Authority Governor Ahmed Munawar, Principal Advisor to the President on Trade and Investment and MPB shareholder Mohamed Ali Janah, as well as members of the bank’s board and senior management.
Representatives of MPB’s partners and prominent figures from the Maldivian financial sector also attended the event.
