The Bank of Maldives (BML) has inaugurated ATM services in
H.Dh. Kumundhoo, marking the milestone of ATM coverage across every inhabited
island in Haa Dhaalu Atoll under its “Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM” program.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by President Dr.
Mohamed Muizzu, cabinet ministers, BML Chairperson Ahmed Ali Habeeb, CEO and
Managing Director Mohamed Shareef, and senior officials of the Bank. Earlier in
the day, BML also introduced ATM services in H.Dh. Kurinbi.
Commenting on the expansion, BML CEO and Managing Director
Mohamed Shareef said the achievement reflects the Bank’s ongoing efforts to
bring banking services closer to communities.
“With the completion of H.Dh. Kumundhoo, we are proud to
announce that we have now expanded our ATM coverage to all inhabited islands in
nine atolls across the country. With every new ATM, we are bringing banking
closer to communities with the goal of ensuring every individual has access to
finance,” he said.
BML remains the largest financial institution in the
Maldives, with 42 branches across all 20 atolls, 156 Self Service Banking
Centres, 215 ATMs, extensive Agent Banking services, and advanced Digital
Banking solutions.
