Ooredoo Maldives has partnered with iRunners Maldives as the Digital Partner for the Maldives Half Marathon 2026, one of the country’s largest running events.
Organised by running club and community iRunners Maldives, the Maldives Half Marathon is scheduled to take place in Hulhumalé on August 14 and is expected to attract more than 2,000 participants.
This year’s event will also feature Indian fitness icon, endurance athlete, actor and former supermodel Milind Soman, who is set to participate in the run.
Ahead of the main race, the Maldives Running Expo 2026 will be held from August 11 to 13 at the Hulhumalé Synthetic Running Track. The expo will be open from 5:00 pm to 10:00 pm each day.
The expo programme will also include a Maldives Half Marathon panel discussion under the theme “Running Together: Building a Healthier, Greener and Safer Maldives.”
The discussion, scheduled for 8:00 pm on August 11, will feature Milind Soman alongside wellness advocate and endurance athlete Ankita Konwar, iRunners Maldives Founder and President Hussain Shujau, Occupational Therapy Association of Maldives President Thooha Adley, and Save the Beach Co-founder Hassan “Beybe” Ahmed. Nasheeth Thoha will moderate the session.
The three-day expo will lead into the Maldives Half Marathon on August 14, bringing together runners, fitness enthusiasts and members of the wider community in Hulhumalé.
