Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) will take part in “Eid Haveeru 1447,” a nationwide Eid al-Adha celebration initiative launched under the leadership of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu to promote community spirit, togetherness, and national unity during the festive season.
The “Eid Haveeru 1447” celebrations will take place at Hulhumalé Central Park from 27 to 29 May 2026, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm daily, featuring a variety of family-friendly activities and cultural experiences for the public.
As part of the celebrations, MACL will host a specially designed activity zone inspired by Maldivian culture, creativity, and festive traditions. The area will feature traditional entertainment elements, including Koadi and Maali processions accompanied by vibrant Bodu Beru performances, creating an engaging Eid atmosphere for visitors of all ages.
MACL’s activity zone will also feature appearances by popular children’s mascots inspired by internationally recognised characters throughout the three-day event, along with a custom-built treehouse decorated with traditional palm fronds for children to explore and enjoy.
Visitors will also be able to take part in a range of interactive family activities and attractions, including a Wrecking Ball challenge, Wipeout inflatable games, a Bubble House, a henna art corner, and face-painting sessions arranged especially for children and families attending the celebrations.
To further enhance the festive experience, a renowned Maldivian footballer is also scheduled to make a special appearance at the MACL activity zone during the event.
MACL’s stall will be located at the eastern entrance of Hulhumalé Central Park, where the company warmly welcomes the public to join in celebrating Eid al-Adha in a joyful, safe, and family-oriented environment.
