Newly filed court documents reveal how much brands pay to advertise with Jimmy Donaldson, the YouTuber known as MrBeast, and how his company pitched Walmart, Slack, and Sony for major marketing deals. Business Insider reported the findings on July 30, 2026, after reviewing hundreds of documents tied to an ongoing lawsuit between MrBeast's company and his former food industry business partner.
The documents include a company rate card, board meeting presentations, and full brand pitch decks. They cover the period from early 2024, when MrBeast had about half his current subscriber count, through his preparation to launch the first season of his Amazon Prime Video show, "Beast Games."
Rate card details
According to the rate card, a 30 to 45 second sponsored segment on MrBeast's main YouTube channel cost around $2.5 million in early 2024. Adding a companion TikTok or YouTube Shorts video cost brands another half a million dollars. Using MrBeast's branding on a company website cost as much as $1 million a month.
Board meeting documents from the middle of 2024 showed the company had contracted $91 million in brand deals heading into 2025. That included $15 million from T-Mobile for four video promotions and $12.5 million from Amazon for five main channel advertisements. An exact timeframe for the deals was not specified in the documents.
What the pitch decks show
Business Insider reviewed full pitch decks MrBeast's team sent to Walmart, Slack, and Sony. The proposals leaned on the size of his global audience and his high production, stunt-based videos.
In one pitch sent to Walmart in late 2022, MrBeast's team asked for $8 million to $10 million to fund a video showing Donaldson trying to buy everything inside a Walmart Supercenter. That video was never made. Still, a February 2023 board presentation showed MrBeast's company expected to earn $8 million in revenue from Walmart that year.
A 2023 pitch to Slack proposed a $15 million, 12-month marketing program. The deck said MrBeast's own team already used Slack and argued the platform should treat individual creators as small businesses worth signing up. The pitch may have set the stage for a Slack-sponsored Super Bowl advertisement that ran three years later, in February 2026, in which contestants used the Slackbot AI tool to solve clues in a digital treasure hunt.
The Sony pitch quoted the company's then chief executive saying he wanted Sony to be the brand creators choose to work with. It also cited MrBeast's ability to draw people into physical spaces, noting that more than 25,000 people attended the opening of his first MrBeast Burger restaurant.
Industry reaction
Bryce Adams, the US influencer lead at WPP's Goat Agency, said the pitches show MrBeast's company positioning itself as a large-scale media company rather than a single creator, comparable to a television network such as NBC.
Imogen Coles, head of influence for Ogilvy in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, said the proposals stood out because they gave brands clear cost and delivery details upfront, something many smaller creators do not offer.
Jo Wong, general manager of the AI commerce company Pop.Store said the Slack pitch worked because it directly explained why the platform and the creator made sense as partners.
Company diversification
Business Insider noted that while Donaldson remains the central figure in the pitch decks, his company has more recently tried to reduce its reliance on his personal image as it grows. The publication said this broader push has continued under the company's current leadership, pointing to a recent television upfronts week breakfast event held for brands.
MrBeast's company did not comment on the rate card or pitch details in the Business Insider report.
