Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), paid a courtesy call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Tuesday afternoon.
The meeting was held at Mulee’aage, the Official Residence of the President.
President Muizzu welcomed Al-Marshad and his accompanying delegation to the Maldives and expressed gratitude to the Saudi Fund for Development and the Government of Saudi Arabia for their continued support throughout the country’s development journey.
During the meeting, Al-Marshad highlighted the strong strategic partnership between the Fund and the Maldives. He emphasised the importance SFD places on further strengthening the decades-long relationship.
The President and the SFD chief also reflected on the Fund’s longstanding contribution to development projects across the Maldives.
The meeting concluded with both sides reaffirming their commitment to expanding ongoing cooperation between the Maldives and the Saudi Fund for Development.
