Maldives Ports Limited (MPL) has announced Alia Investments Pvt Ltd as a Bronze Sponsor for the Maldives Maritime Conference 2026, expanding private sector participation in the country’s upcoming maritime industry event.
The sponsorship agreement was signed by MPL Deputy Chief Executive Officer Mohamed Mueen and Alia Investments Pvt Ltd Marketing Manager Ahmed Asyl.
The Maldives Maritime Conference 2026 is scheduled to take place on April 15 and will bring together stakeholders from across the maritime, shipping and logistics sectors. The conference is organised by Maldives Ports Limited as part of efforts to promote dialogue and collaboration within the maritime industry.
Organisers expect the event to attract participation from industry professionals, policymakers and business representatives involved in port operations, shipping services and maritime logistics. The conference aims to provide a platform to discuss sector developments and emerging opportunities within the industry.
Alia Investments’ participation as a Bronze Sponsor reflects increasing private sector engagement in initiatives linked to maritime and trade infrastructure. Corporate sponsorships are expected to support the organisation of the conference and facilitate broader industry participation.
Maldives Ports Limited, the state-owned company responsible for managing the Maldives’ primary commercial port operations, continues to expand partnerships with private sector stakeholders to support industry engagement and knowledge exchange.
With preparations underway for the April conference, organisers expect the event to serve as a forum for discussions on maritime sector development and the role of port operations in supporting the Maldives’ trade and economic activity.
