Bank of Maldives Academy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with INCEIF University to provide BML employees with training opportunities in Islamic finance, executive education, and professional certification.

Bank of Maldives (BML) Academy has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with INCEIF University to give BML employees access to internationally recognized training in Islamic finance and related fields, the bank said in a statement.
Under the agreement, BML staff will gain access to INCEIF University's programs in Islamic finance, executive education, professional certifications, and specialized training courses. The partnership also opens up opportunities for knowledge sharing, leadership development, and industry engagement, according to BML.
BML Academy is the bank's dedicated training and development arm. It was set up to support the continuous development of banking professionals through internationally recognized education and training programs.
The Academy has previously signed similar partnerships with the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) and Singapore Management University (SMU) to run training programs for BML employees.
BML said it will continue building strategic partnerships with leading institutions to expand access to high-quality learning opportunities. The bank said the agreement supports the advancement of the banking and financial services industry in the Maldives.
INCEIF University, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, specializes in Islamic finance education and research. The university has previously engaged with Maldivian institutions, including a 2016 agreement with the Islamic University of Maldives.
BML did not disclose the date of the MoU signing, the individuals who signed on behalf of each institution, or the duration of the partnership in the statement reviewed.
