Bank of Maldives (BML) has taken part in a coral planting activity at Niva Kurumba Maldives, contributing to the resort’s ongoing efforts to restore coral reefs and protect marine ecosystems.
BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef joined members of the bank’s leadership team, staff and tourists staying at the resort for the activity.
Niva Kurumba Maldives offers coral planting opportunities that allow participants to contribute directly to its reef restoration programme. The activity brought together the bank’s team and resort guests in support of those efforts.
BML’s participation follows its support for other coral restoration projects across the Maldives. These include an initiative by the Vaadhoo Association for Future Development in Gaafu Dhaalu Vaadhoo and the Muraka Farm initiative in Baa Dharavandhoo.
According to the bank, the activity forms part of its broader commitment to environmental sustainability and marine conservation, building on its involvement in community initiatives to protect the Maldives’ coral reef ecosystems.
