Government reduces fine for tourism land rent dues.
According to state, the standard procedure is to levy 0.5% of the rent per day following due date.
However, in light of the economic crisis rising due to the Covid-19 pandemic the Ministry of Tourism declares dropping fine to 0.0493% per day post due.
Meanwhile, the ministry revises the regulations on tourism land rent to adjust the changes.
Government made the amendments effective on Monday, 3 August 2020.
Tourism ventures settle the tourism land rent on a quarterly basis.
